This was my first time here. We sat out on the upstairs patio. It was a really cool ambiance for our party of four. The appetizers were really delicious. We shared the smoked artichoke dip and a spicy pizza. They were both delicious. I actually liked them better than my main entree. I had the fish and chips. The fish was tasty, but the breading was a little more than I prefer. The waffle fries were tasty. The slaw was just ok. Our server was top notch. She was very friendly and kept us topped off on drinks. A+ to her.

I've been to tavern on south a few times now and I have enjoyed it every time. We were seated pretty quickly even without a reservation. Recently when I went, I ordered the chicken sandwich which was pretty good. I tried the side of coleslaw which I didn't enjoy as much, but it might be a personal taste that I have for sweeter coleslaw. Overall, I have no real complaints and will probably be back.

We stopped in for dinner and drinks here when I arrived in Indianapolis. There is free parking on the side of the building and the decor inside is quite nice. There is also a balcony on the second floor, but it was closed for the evening. Our server was Sean and he did an outstanding job! (The service from the kitchen was a little slow and that was surprising given there were not many people in the place at 8pm. We did the taco salad and the soft tacos. Sean recommended the seasoned pulled chicken over the seasoned chipotle chicken and he was spot on. It was very tasty! I had a cosmo, but I didn't order a second one. It was too sweet for my taste. I switched to a glass of Douglass Hill Cabernet Sauvignon for dinner and it was quite good. We had an enjoyable evening at Tavern on South.

We were in town for the Chiefs game. We stopped here the night before to have dinner. Sean was our server and he did a fabulous job. We had the smoked spinach artichoke dip and the chicken poppers for appetizers. My oldest son wanted a bison burger in place of the regular meat patty and my other sons fiancé wanted some fried Onion sprinkle things whatever those toppings are called as they had them on another menu item, put on her burger and neither request could be done for some reason. It was rather quiet that Saturday evening. Food was good. We went back on Sunday before the game and definitely a lot more lively crowd. They were limiting the people in the bar to just those who could sit? They said they didn't want it to get too crowded. We were able to order drinks and take them with us. Solid choice.

Tried this place for a farewell lunch with colleagues! The food is excellent ! I ordered the Mahi Mahi Tacos with fries! I got three street style tacos. The fish was perfectly grilled. The tacos were quite filling. The portion size is good for one person. We ordered fried Buffalo cauliflower for the table ! It super crispy on the outside and tasted very good! Definitely recommend this as a appetizer. This place was 10 min away from my office so was a quick drive. The service was quick and efficient . There's a parking lot right outside the restaurant for customers. We went on a weekday around 11 AM so it wasn't very busy!.

We decided to all go out for lunch to this location since it was quiet during the summer hours. We were seated quickly which was awesome because we had a decent sized group. The menu has a variety of choices which is always nice in my opinion. I decided to go with the 7 field salad, which was a great combo of spinach, goat cheese, cranberry, cherries, spiced nuts, with a raspberry vinaigrette and I added some grilled salmon on top for protein. It was a tasty refreshing, and the perfect amount for lunch. This is a place I would certainly come back to to check out more menu items

I had dinner here recently and really enjoyed it. I was by myself so I had one of the smaller tables in the bar area. The two bartenders were very attentive and refilled my water often. I started with the 7 Field Salad: mixed greens, dried cherries, spiced nuts, carrot, red onion (I held this), goat cheese and cranberry vinaigrette. This was a really tasty salad. Loved all the toppings. Nice tart dressing. For my entrée, I had the Fish & chips: crispy fried whitefish, lime dill tarter sauce, french fries, cole slaw, grilled lemon. The fries was a bit too flaky but it was tasty. I liked the breading on it. The dill tarter sauce was delicious. I dipped my fish and fries in it. Good tasty cole slaw. All my favorite items. Overall a nice dinner. Looks like a fun place to watch a game or just have drinks and food. They seem to have some upstairs outside seating as well.
